The king's a beggar, now the play is done:
All is well ended, if this suit be won,
That you express content; which we will pay,
With strife to please you, day exceeding day:
Ours be your patience then, and yours our parts;
Your gentle hands lend us, and take our hearts.

WELL, GIVE ME ALL YOU GOT, AND DON’T HOLD IT BACK, YEAH

CHARACTER NAME: Louis Arthur Weasley
NICKNAMES: Loufish
AGE & DOB: 27. 12th November 2006
The Gryffindor Scorpio
Expect stamina, incredible courage, intense and stormy emotions, burning idealism, and indomitable will. Gryffindor Scorpios are never drawn in shades of pastel; they are always blood red and mesmerizing gold. There are few followers born under these aspects; Scorpios born into this house tend to be either leaders or loners. They are well placed on the Quidditch field, where their natural competitive streak and their great store of personal energy make them natural Beaters (or, really, naturals at any position on the field). Expect them to get into frequent duels, and expect them to gravitate naturally to DADA, for all Scorpios are fascinated by anything dark and forbidden, and Gryffindor Scorpios will want to take their place as defenders as early in their careers as possible. Expect passion. Expect wisdom. But don't expect a lot of time to take a breather. Many people born under this aspect also end up as Aurors; they're the perfect "bad cops" to the "good cop" Libra wizards.

FATHER: Bill Weasley
MOTHER: Fleur Weasley née Delacour
SIBLINGS: Victoire Weasley | Dominique Weasley

SPOUSE: maybe?
CHILDREN: maybe?

ANY OTHERS OF IMPORTANCE? Well, there's about a gazillion Weasleys, Potters and a few Delacours.... so yes?

Appearance: Standing tall at 6'3" Louis towers over not only his siblings but his cousins as well. He seems to be somewhere halfway between his Delacour and Weasley heritage having light to dark blonde hair that seems to be in a perpetual state of unkemptness... though really it just happens to be curly and okay sometimes he can't find a brush. Feels more comfortable in muggle clothing than he does wizarding robes.

personality.
WELL, I SHOULD PROBABLY WARN YOU I’LL BE JUST FINE, YEAH
(We ask for a decent number of paragraphs here, or ones of good quality, to give us a well-rounded idea of who this character is. What we're looking for is a description that gives us insight into the character's psychology and identity.)

From a young age Louis Weasley has always been described as a bundle of energy and it was usually a task in itself to try and get him to ever sit still for anything. He's the sort of guy who, when there's some crazy adventure to be had, has his hand in the air first or at least second after his cousin, James. At Hogwarts he was just as likely to earn Gryffindor house points as he was to lose them - although 9 times out of 10 he'd try and argue it wasn't his fault (I mean, he sure didn't bewitch that doorway to cover people in confetti every time somebody walked through it...). However often his energy got him into trouble it was helpful when it came to playing Quidditch; although it should be no surprise that Louis was never asked to play Keeper.

Louis isn't as quiet or studious as his sisters perhaps, but somehow managed not to get anything less than Acceptable on his OWLs and NEWTs - though that might have more to do with at the very absolute last minute studying than any sense of preparing before hand. Not to mention a healthy dose of not wanting to disappoint his parents or the rest of the family; which isn't exactly easy especially when you have other people expecting more of you or the worse of you because of who your family is. He totally loves and adores his sisters and, okay, he might be younger than either of them but he'll have their backs and stand up for them no matter the situation. The same goes for anyone who's a friend of Louis'. He'll be the first to admit that he can be a handful and not always easy to get along with (he might not be a redhead like most of his family, but he's got the fiery short temper to go with th Weasley name and Veela blood) but he'll have your back and he'll be there to cheer you up when you need cheering up.

Growing up wasn't always easy, especially when you're only the second guy in the house aside from your dad, and it's at those times you just really really need some time to yourself. Although he loves them both, Louis is probably closer to Nikki rather than Victoire; and it's not because he loves one more than the other or that he's closer in age to Nikki, but he just feels that Nikki lets him be himself - even at his most reckless.

Louis can't really explain why it is that he likes Shakespeare - it certainly isn't because he likes acting (although he can be a little bit melodramatic if you rile him up too much)- but he does know that he loves the playwright's use of words. Even if sometimes it takes a few times of reading to actually understand what the man was trying to say. Also, he may or may not use lines from Shakespeare's plays and sonnets to pick up girls - well, that and trying out any Veela powers (it's not his fault he was curious as to whether it was just girls that it worked for)... hey, come on, he's a guy not a saint!
That's another thing he loves... women. It's definitely another of those traits he has in common with his cousin, James - aside from their very close birthdays it's yet another reason why they're probably best friends. It certainly made for interesting times at Hogwarts. But he's not the best at actually maintaining long-term relationships; it's not so much a lack of respect for ladies so much as it is that he doesn't believe that just because he's nearing 30 that it means he has to be settling down at time soon. No offence to anyone in his family, but that just isn't for him yet.

Although not his strong suit Louis isn't a terrible cook.

...if you count being able to make good toasted sandwiches as not being terrible at cooking.

Likes: WOMEN!, quidditch, adventures (whether it's curse-breaking or something else entirely), his family, food glorious food, surprising people (not so much giving them good surprises, though he does, but more in the way of totally messing with people's expectation of him).
Dislikes: Laundry - he'll put off washing his clothes as long as possible (it's been said that someone once saw the pile of clothes in his room move of their own accord), people saying his name as LOO-is instead of loo-EE (his mother is French, what do you think is more likely?).

history.
NO OFFENSE TO YOU, DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME

Of all their children, Louis was the last, and only son, to be born to Bill and Fleur Weasley on 12th November 2006. It was a good six years after his eldest sister, Victoire, and not quite two years after his other sister, Dominique - not to mention there were at least a few cousins born somewhere in between all that as well.

Growing up Louis was... well, he wasn't exactly trouble for his parents, he wasn't at all fussy but boy did he seem to be a bundle of energy. As a toddler, naptime was almost non-existent with his naps only ever seeming to happen after he had totally worn himself out running around or playing around until basically he'd just sit down and be completely zonked. There was also the fact he had always had his sisters at home to play with but then Victoire left for Hogwarts and for a while it was just him and Nikki at home with Victoire home for the holidays. So for a good few years it was basically just him and Nikki, which paved the way for them being closer than they were with Victoire. However, when he was much older Louis always felt that he was closer to Nikki because she let him just be himself, whereas he always worried that Victoire would lecture him for anything she'd regard as bad behaviour.

By the time Louis had got to Hogwarts, Nikki was a Second Year and Victoire had finished the summer before - not to mention a number of his cousins were already at Hogwarts as well. So he certainly wasn't lacking in people to talk to if he had ended up not making friends. But even as a first year, with his confidence, he had no problems making friends or enemies for that matter. Although, it was hard to say whether they were enemies because he was a Weasley or whether it was because he could sometimes be an annoying prat.

When it came to his sorting it hadn’t taken long for the Sorting Hat to call out Gryffindor when placed upon Louis’ head. He was a little disappointed he hadn’t ended up with his sister, but then he didn’t have anywhere near the ambition or drive that Nikki had that Slytherin prided itself on. What he did have, however, was the daring and bravery of Gryffindor in spades or as some from other houses might put it being stupidly reckless. It did mean though that he was in the same House that Victoire had been in although the two of them certainly exhibited Gryffindor’s qualities in quite different ways.

Having always been a bundle of energy it wasn’t much of a surprise when Louis tried out for Gryffindor’s Quidditch team. However, it wasn’t until his third year that he was finally successful in trying out and had, at last, made the house team. Although he loved the game he didn’t hold any aspirations for turning pro and was content playing only at family competitions.

As far as studies and exams went he did pretty okay for someone who hated studying and usually left it until the last possible minute. He just hated sitting still and studying always seemed to be such a bore when there was Quidditch and so many other things he could be doing. But he also hated thinking he might end up a disappointment to his parents which is why he always tried to do his best - even if he did usually end up having to cram in a week's worth of studying into a few hours or so. Somehow, and to this day even Louis doesn't have a clue why, in his 5th year Louis was made a Prefect. When he actually received the letter and the badge Louis had honestly thought it was someone's idea of a practical joke. No such luck, his Dad confirmed that the letter and the badge were both real.

However, what should've been an opportunity to mature himself and act more responsibly was more a case of making him aware to not pull any crap out in the open and to not be too bad an influence on wee impressionable firsties. By his 5th year though Louis was more interested in girls than he was messing about with practical jokes or other reckless behaviour. Louis found it surprisingly easy to talk to girls or rather for girls to be wanting to talk to him. It wasn’t until around his 4th year at Hogwarts that it finally clicked that just maybe it had something to do with the Veela blood he inherited from his mother. First by mistake and then by further experimentation, he realised however infinitesimal the amount of Veela blood he had it still seemed to have an affect on girls which he used. Don't worry however young and foolish he may have been at that age Louis still knew that no meant no and he certainly didn’t use any abilities he may have beyond getting girls interested.

Then in Seventh Year the scariest thing since being made Prefect happened... someone apparently thought it was a brilliant idea to make him Head Boy. It was the same position his dad and his uncle Percy had held years ago, so there was, in his mind, quite a lot to live up to. He still remained very much himself if a little more mellowed out... though during the holidays was a whole other matter in his opinion. Of his uncles and aunts, he's probably closest to his Uncle George, although that's probably more to do with the time spent in his company. When he was fresh out of Hogwarts, Louis, still didn't have a clue as to what he wanted to do - he had the marks to get a decent enough job within the Ministry or elsewhere but, at the time, he didn't necessarily have the inclination. But he also didn't want to be stuck at home all the time and that was how he ended up working for his uncle. Okay, so it was only stocking and working the till but it was enough to keep his mind occupied and stopped him from going nuts.

However, that last part was kind of debatable considering he actually (of his own accord) volunteered a few times to be a test subject for some of George's newer inventions. Although, after that time where he turned completely blue and resembled some sort of human-blueberry hybrid he stopped volunteering. Mind you, Louis would happily boast, to anyone who would listen, that he still managed to pick a girl up whilst being completely blue. Which more than likely disappointed his cousin, James, who had been the one to dare him into attempting it in the first place. Although they weren’t particularly close when they were both at Hogwarts (a three year age gap will do that) when Louis had finally finished his last year they started to hang out together more; eventually becoming the best of mates.

It took him a couple of years, working for his Uncle George, before Louis finally decided what it was he wanted to do with his life. The main reason he hadn’t ever given Curse-breaking proper consideration before is that he always felt he ought to branch out on his own and do something that wasn’t actually connected to his family. Don’t get him wrong he loved his Dad, and had grown up hearing of his stories as a Curse-Breaker, but he didn’t want to join and have people think he only got there because of any family connections - and if there was one thing Louis hated it was having people think he only got what he wanted because of his family. But in one of his rare moments of clarity, Louis decided screw the world and what it thought, he was going to do something he’d been wanting to do forever and enjoy it regardless of what anyone else thought. Besides what else was an adventure-loving guy going to do? Because he sure as hell didn’t fancy working for TerrorTours.

Louis is coming from mid-December 2033, only a few days before Christmas in fact. So he’s going to be sorely disappointed to find out it’s not Christmas anymore. And no it won’t make him feel better if you tell him he has a copy celebrating it for him. For the past six years he’s been working as a Curse-Breaker, although he’s currently been on holiday for the past month and has been staying with various relatives - mostly because he doesn’t think there’s much point in having his own place if he’s hardly ever there.
Louis is going to be freaking out - you’d be freaking out too if you’d just been taking a shower and ended up in some village completely starkers. Once that initial shock has worn off though, regardless of what anyone tells him he’ll be freaking out about the village, but after a day or two he’ll probably calm down and he is grateful for the familiar faces - even if they’re all the wrong age.

HERE’S WHY

connections
JAMES SIRIUS POTTER
COUSIN BESTIES!!!
Given similarities in their personalities it's a wonder that these two aren;t actually at each other's throats. Instead they're the best of mates. Which is a good thing for all concerned... not such a good thing is the trouble these two can get up to. Then again when he arrives in the village Louis immediate reaction will be 'How the fuck did you get so young?!'.
FLEUR, VICTOIRE & NIKKI WEASLEY
Louis adores his family and will definitely be pleased to see them. Naturally he's going to be very surprised by how young they are. I mean, it's not every day that you arrive in some bizarro magical village only to find that you're older than your elder sisters. In his head that's just messed up, but he'll get used to it eventually.
It's definitely going to be super weird for him to see his Mum so young and then finding out that she dated Mr Malfoy for a time is going to be stranger still. Naturally he'd be wondering what about his Dad, but if knows that Fleur was/is happy then he's happy... mind you, it probably won't stop him from thinking that it's still weird.
MEMBERS OF THE WEASLEY/POTTER/MALFOY/CONGLOMERATE
Depending on who you are Louis' immediate reaction will be 'why are you so young/old?!'. For him one of the biggest surprises will be seeing his Grandma (who's cooking is his absolute favourite, sorry Fleur!) young and much younger than him. Second biggest shock will be Albus, so close to being the same age seeing Albus be so young will definitely be a shock to the system.
BLETCHLEY/SPINNET FAMILY
Crap, Mr Bletchley is young. Whoa, Mrs Bletchley is young too... and um wow... would you look at the time.

plot ideas
1. Adventure is Out There
Louis is up for any sort of adventuring or exploring, provided that death and/or dismemberment aren't involved. He likes all his limbs intact and where they are, thank you. After all, being a Curse-Breaker he's used to... well, being active and living dangerously - so if there's nothing similar to do he maaaay get restless... and a restless Louis is a grumpy and tetchy Louis.
2. Time to Grow Up
I think he'll always be confident carefree outgoing guy, but I think Louis could definitely do with settling down. Whether that means finding someone in the village or just simply mellowing out a little.... it would be interesting to explore at some point.
3. Victoire Too
Louis is already pretty close with Nikki, but not exactly with Victoire. Now it obviously won't happen overnight, but I think it'd be interesting to explore that relationship a bit more. Especially if it gets to the point where he's not constantly expecting a lecture to happen.
